Part one! Expect more hot tracks in a future podcast. Plus we’ve got plenty of great Bud this week, no?
It’s impossible to cover all singing or instrument-playing chipmusicians in one 40 minute episode. I know I’ve left out a lot of good artists and songs, like Bud Melvin, Anamanaguchi, KPLEcraft, Tree Wave, Bodenständig 2000, Oxygenstar, Starscream (not to mention all great remixes made of vocal tracks made by chipmusicians) and so on. For this episode, I chose only ten tracks in various styles, sharing the one theme, and therefore it does not strive or claim to cover everything. I hope people enjoy it anyway, and perhaps discover a new song or two, or perhaps a new artist.
You can look forward to Pt.2 later on – I promise, there will be Bud and Oxygenstar ;)

btw, overture by i fight dragons is neither accoustic, nor vocal, nor chip.
PDF: Thanks, I know. I was looking for a term to include all other, non-chip instruments, but I couldn’t come up with the word. For instance, the Wizwars track does not have acoustic instruments either (it’s obviously an electric guitar). That’s why it says in the description “chipmusic which is mixed together with other instruments; vocals, guitars, drums, piano – or full orchestras.”
What would be a better way to title this episode, you think? (Even though I am pretty sure everyone understands what the theme is about).
But I disagree with you when you say that the IFD overture is not chip. It has chip elements, made with VSTs and Game Boy. Of course it’s not only “chip”, but none of the songs in this episode is.
