    haha. Had to google boffin. I remembered the word from some prog lyric or other. That is a pretty cool quote.

    You quoted this completely out of context. Now that I have read the article, I see that he is not praising chiptune at all, but dissing it in comparison to Anamanaguchi’s new release. It’s a dumb review of a really good release.
