Sonic Sanctuary | Burnkit2600

This album was recorded live at our former headquarters, the ancient Odd Fellows building in Danbury Connecticut. In it’s 100 year history, the building was everything from a speakeasy to an artsits’ co-op. For our purpose, the practice space was our Sonic Sanctuary, a haven where we had total creative freedom to develop these works. As such, this album is dedicated to Austé for use of the space and to the old building’s spirit that was channeled into these songs.

Burnkit2600 is indebted to our amazing friends and fans for sticking with us and especially Jitka, Jori and Mei-Ling for their unending support and patience.

Burnkit 2600 – Duke Dubious Digital Dub Selector

Our new album Duke Dubious: Digital Dub Selector – is out now!!What happens when 3 electro-blip-rock veterans idly muse: “Wouldn’t it be fun to put down the ‘serious’ music for a minute and play some straight-up old school capital D – U – B dub?” I’ll tell you what happens. Fresh, innovative, colorful, funky, satisfying, infectious, pure, honest and from the heart Dub Music, that’s what! It started off as a lark. Just a fun way to blow off steam between long mixing sessions. After having so much fun with this music, we can’t hold it back any longer. We’ve captured the instrumental magic for you, dear listener. We set up at the Heirloom Arts Theater and captured our dub set at its peak. With our good friend Al at the helm, making sure that Duke Dubious was presented in just the right space.
