  • Goto80 – Breakfast

    Goto-80-Breakfast-artwork-300x300px

Breakfast is a power tune that brings back frenetic old school funky lines and a powerful synth solo. When we first heard the single, what struck us immediately was the clever usage of the Amiga speech synthesis, layers of digital speech that rendered beautiful voice-harmonies like we never heard before. As usual, he used rather crude methods for this, like turning a statement into a question for a different tonality.

The long awaited Chip emulating vst from Plogue is finally out. Having had a chance to play with this, I can tell you the sound is up to snuff, surpassing other similar products, and its usuability gives real hardware a run for its money. You can read a healthy overview about the process behind the recreation over at CDM, or check out this blurb from the Plogue site after the jump.

Finally USB connection to CBM devices, hassle free!

From today you now can purchase the XU1541 adapter from our site shop.  The XU1541 was originally developed by Till Harbaum and the project was abandoned. But its now still well alive, thanks to our resident engineer Jurek.

This adapter is the modern version of the parallel port X1541 cable but now with USB capabilities. Allowing modern PC’s & laptops to use the Commodore range of disk drives such as the 1541 etc..

Now we’re talking! I’mgonna get one of these ASAP.
