  • Inversion – Crushed (2010)

Seems like the sceners are a bit slow posting the Assembly demos on YouTube for the oldschool competition, so this won’t be as easy as I thought, but patience will pay off.

I start an almost month-long tour schedule this Friday, so I Won’t be around TCTD until past mid-September. Therefore I will post a bunch of stuff in the following 3 ays so you don’t miss me :P
I will try to post some stuff from Mexico and Japan too, kind of keep a travel log if I find something interesting for the website.
Anyway, this was the highest-ranked  C64 demo at Assembly, it has some really cool moments, it’s not fantastic, bu it keeps it fresh, and one of the pictures (the one with a girl and a jellyfish) has been created in a procedural way which is pretty fantastic.

    Enjoy this demo:

  • Beepola v1.05

The zx spectrum tracker has been updated to v1.05

Beepola, a Windows cross-tracker with multiple 1-bit sound engines from ZX Spectrum, has been updated to v1.05. The most interesting addition in this version is a new engine, made by Jason C. Brooke in 1988. The version of the engine is taken from Savage game, it has two channels of tone, drums, and many interesting features. This version is dedicated to Jonathan ‘Joffa’ Smith, author of the Special FX engine.

  • Project Pal Released

First I tried to gather 10 different composers to participate on the planned cart. After a while I realised that it was only me and two more composers, motivated enough to finish anything. So now we started composing. Me, Wiklund and zabutom…

  • Dekadence & Accession – Grind (2010)

The 2010 edition of Asssembly has left us with a bunch of nice stuff to chew on. As it appears on the Interweb, properly captured in YouTube pleasure, I will make a good selection and post it next week, because I am leaving on tour (Mexico + Japan) and I won’t be able to update this column until I return, which will be more than a month.

So, for now, I leave you with the winner of the oldschool competition. An Amiga demo, running, allegedly, on a 68030 @ 25Mhz, which by today’s Amiga demoscene standards (060 @ 100Mhz), it’s  pretty low spec and it means my 030@50 can happily run it. Yay!

Very cool work from Britelite and very interesting metal-inspired vibe.

    Enjoy
