The weekend has passed and with it, the Forever 10 oldschool platform party!
Lots of new releases for 3 platforms have been created and released at it, so here follows the full list of entries, with compo positions, for Commodore 64, Atari 8-Bit and ZX Spectrum.

“Final Area BGM” from the Exorcist NES game that never was. The brilliant concept behind this song is that it’s for a never-created game based on the 1973 horror film.
Chiptune artist Bucky sets the scene:

How did you get into this music?

When I realised that you could emulate old machines on a PC and learn what was going on inside them, I went back to the older sounds. I’ve designed instruments for pop stars. I reprogrammed Game Boys for UK artist Damon Albarn, for example, turning them into real musical instruments.

While I maintain that he tends to over-arcane the creation of and over-emphasize in importance in “the chiptune scene”, the concert sounds really cool, and I look forward to what music is released from it.
