“I love You more than I love myself. With all my heart I repent of ever having offended You. Grant that I may love You always; and then do with me as You will.” -St. Alphonsus Liguori
“With All My Heart”, a ten-minute EP of minimalistic and catchy chip music, was written in about a month and a half, with a limit of eight channels and no external effects. The back-to-basics compositional style relies on tight percussion, quirky melodies, and basic 8-bit samples developed with the SFXR sound creation tool. I’d like to extend thanks to my friends, family, and Eternal Savior for their continued support and devotion.

The SN76489A PSG is a pure symmetrical squarewave generator, dark, icy-cold, and devoid of bass. Master usage of this soundchip is only achieved through expert manipulation. In parallel to Eat People 1 on the NES, System of a Master dives into a full variety of VGM styles played back on a Sega Master System via home-made flash cartridge. Themes include references to summers spent with cousins Jeannine and Matt(matador), UHF syndicated television, and comics drawn by Alex in the early 90s.

Astonishingly dirty basslines? Check. Thumping Beats? Check. Samples from all sorts of various nooks and crannies in pop culture? Check. Christmas Song? Check.
Wait, what?
Most ordinary mixes don’t have Christmas songs, but then, most mixes aren’t by Atari and axe wielding madman Gareth Morris, who celebrates his 10th year of being ‘The One They Call gwEm‘. During a short period of not being busy from touring all over the world, from London to Toyko and almost everywhere in between, or putting on his own shows, or making his own Atari music composing software maxYMiser, gwEm has managed to make this astonishing 35 minute mix of old and new music into an unforgettable dance mix, that will surely cement his position in the chipscene for at least another ten years!

We at eclectro have been fans of Psilodumps music for a long time. We’ve watched as he created early 8 bit antifunk for the players over at micromusic and seen him grow to the micro-superstar he is. We made contact with Psilodump a few months back and asked him if he’d concider doing some work for us, and he was happy to. A few months later, “Washed” surfaced on our hard drives. We were overjoyed with what we were hearing. Now like a secret thats too good not to tell we’re sharing it with you.
Psilodump creates yet another stellar E.p. that defies categorization, giving the listener a full range of emotion that truely sets Psilodump apart from the pack. Each reinterpretation of the title track, Washed, gives accent to every nook of the recordings — it certainly feels handmade.
