  • Legowelt – The Amiga 500 Tapes

Mysterious release by electro/disco nouveau clique LEGOWELT, containing a bunch of music which leads us to think it was made with the Amiga (was it? I find no excuse for the line level noise unless these really come from cassette tapes :P). Not much info on the download page but you can get the tunes which are pretty damn cool. Has been around for a while but if it wasn’ t because of Matt Nida I would have never found it. Thanks man!

If you are a “chip purist” GTFO this post and download.  Otherwise Get them here while you can.

  • deMarche – Mescaline Synesthesia (2009)

This demo was a big omission from my part on last year’s TCTD Awards’ Demo category. I was really ashamed to have missed it and not put it in the nominations, so I am now posting it trying to make up  for such a horrible mistake.

Taking the Spectrum to colourful places it hadn’t gone before (where’s the colour clashing? Because I can’t find it. It must have done a runner), this is a real favourite among the demo punters.

Enough banter, watch this cool demo.

  • Supergroup – Superoriginal (2010)

Britelite and his team of Amiga soldiers kick our senses once again with an OCS (that’s classic A500 chipset for you) demo, released at Datastorm 2010 and ranked 1st. Yes, the good old A500 still being pushed today.

  • Exceed – Heaven Seven (2000)

Probably the first PC demo that I truly respected, this 64KB piece is amazing and remains one of demoscene’s biggest classics. Released at the legendary MEKKA & SYMPOSIUM party, ranked 1st.

    (yes I know it’s not wednesday :P)

  • TBL – Suicide Barbie (2007)

After 3 years of PSP homebrew development, and with little involvement of the demoscene with it, TBL’s demo still remains on the top of the list for this platform. No other production has, as of yet, reached the bar set by Suicide Barbie.

TBL, with a long story of Amiga demoscene quality bar pushing, is not very active nowadays, unfortunately.

    Enjoy.
