  • This week at the Collective III

    For the week of 11/03-11/10

Another week goes by, and in the Post Halloween swoon things turn a tad lazy. It feels that everything is building towards the orgasmic explosion that is the the coming Blip Festival, and everyone is quiet and working silently. • CASIO CRACK out on HEXAWE

Some starpawseses were hurt in the making of this cover.

HEXAWE is a netlabel dedicated solely to the ultraportable LITTLEGPTRACKER. Each release comes as either mp3 renders or the actual project files you can download and learn how they made the tracks. The compilation restriction this time is that all the samples must come from the casio line of musical instruments. You can grab the tracks on their webpage. After that you can grab their older compos:

  • xlr8r covers 8bit theft

Due to space considerations, the jellica centerfold was cut.

Written the the Scene’s own Nathaniel Adams, Techno and etc music journal xlr8r touches on the recent amount of chip theft that has plagued the perhaps too trusting nature of the scene. The article is a good starting point, but if your curious there are deeper articles on the topic here and here.
