DuckSlinger is a new Tracker for the Nintendo DS that was announced at BlockParty. The interface looks a bit spartan, but the website has demos from Coda and Virt, so you already have no shot at being the best composer for it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this appears to be a PSG based tracker. This means you use the Internal DS sounds instead of samples to create your sounds!

LOL
Does this have it’s own synth? Looks like you can choose either waveforms or channel types with the buttons…
“Internal sounds” — in that case f**kin’ sweet!
Its PSG based, updated the post to reflect that. Internal sounds!

This looks really interesting, I don’t have all my kit to give this a try but definitly curious.
The DS (like the GBA too) still has the original Gameboy Soundchannels built-in. This is software based but could be used for some easy synthesis I guess. Maybe the Duckslinger Guys still wrote their own softsynth though, I dont know :P
fired it up.. well it sounds like square waves.. more bass than a regular gameboy though.. Wanted to try and record a song, but couldn’t get a song to load, even after patching it for my r4ds. The gui has a way to go, but lsdj style screens is a nice start. Commands please! and use the xyab buttons for parameters, not just dpad mirroring please!
anyone know anything about the developers of this? i’ve been using it a lot, but there are so many little things that could be added to improve it. would be a shame if its not developed further
I’m pretty sure it’s reduz and coda. Check them out at EsperNet #mod_shrine.
