  • NoisES Demo

Have a listen and maybe you can think of something interesting to do with it. It’s never going to be a fully-fledged music program like NTRQ/Pulsar/PR8 as the processing involved in doing the frequency modulation is just too much to do any complex editing etc.

    CheeseCutter Updated to 2.3.0

Extra keys for laptop users: [ and ] change the speed; { and } change the framecall counter; + and – in the sequencer change the base octave value.
    Packer updated to handle subtunes.
Absolute notes were affected by slides in the player.
Keyjam mode: press Ctrl-Space or Caps Lock and use the note keys to play the active instrument. Works only with the latest player (CC03.30). With older players (e.g. those used by the example tunes) you get no audio.
Most windows can be activated by a mouse click; mouse wheel is also usable. Some statusline elements are clickable too (try “speed” and “rate”-fields).

ATARI SOUNDS FOR THE MASSES – GUI Frontend for ASAPConv Appears

Atari Sounds For The Masses is a GUI Frontend for great ASAPConv by Piotr Fusik. Basicly is a tool to convert Atari music modules between different formats. ASAPConv is a “command line” application, so I decided to add a GUI in Objective-C to make conversion procedure much more simpler. ASFTM is dedicated to all Mac OS X users who love to listen great tunes from the legendary 8bit computer called ATARI. Those people who didn`t know what I`m talking about, should download music stuff for “little” Atari, and take a deep dive into the analog, raw and melodic ocean of Atari sounds.

  • subPixel — The Wave

“This album was recorded in honor of my uncle, David Calhoun, who passed in 2010. It is somewhat of a double EP. A six song suite presented in two versions, one recorded with live instrumentation and one arranged in VRC6 format for the Nintendo Entertainment System / Famicom.

Both sides of this album can be played simultaneously in sync. Very soon I will be releasing an iOS app giving the user the ability to mix each song – channel by channel and on the fly – creating an interactive experience. Imagine turning a dial to transform a live guitar solo into an 8-bit shred-fest, just like on your old NES”
