Chipsune 1.23 for the GBA Appeared

Chipsune is a GameBoy (color) Music sequencer for the GBA. Why you may ask? Because GBA was limited to what it could do for GameBoy music sequencers. You would have to use an old cartridge, and those don’t work on GBA Micro, and NDS/NDS Lite. Now, you can use this on those handhelds, and If you Line-In record, there is a lot less static (compared to older versions of the GBA and even GB/GBC).

Tilificator for the NES appeared

Tilificator is a sprite conversion tool I wrote to try to solve an annoying problem I’ve always had with sprite graphics for the NES: How to create CHR and sprite data that re-uses CHR patterns and tries to minimize the sprites per scanline, without lots of repetitive effort.

To do this for you, it uses some clever heuristics, and a lot of brute-force, trading artist time for computer time. It’s a work in progress, and will still produce bad results for some seemingly obvious cases. But it’ll probably do the job better for big amounts of sprite data unless you’re dedicated to hand-optimizing your sprites. :)

SID Master 99 and SID Play 99 Appeared

Sid Master 99 is a PEB interface cards that integrates an MOS 6581 or MOS 8580 SID chip into the architecture of the TI99/4A as a memory mapped device. It can be accessed through any language that allows normal CPU memory access such as assembly language, Extended BASIC etc. If you can do a CALL LOAD or equivalent then you can access the SID chip. A new vista of never before heard sounds can now be played through your TI99/4A. No sound cables required. It is completely compatible with the existing sound chip on the computer and plays through your monitor or TV..

mmlx apepared

MMLX is a music programming language used to make NES Chiptunes. It extends from Music Macro Language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Music_Macro_Language

It is short for MML eXtended. Everything written in MML is valid in MMLX, but there are additional features.

If you are familiar with web programming, MMLX is to MML what SASS is to CSS
